Carpet advice needed

Sorry all, I have a feeling this may come up often but I cannot find any reviews for the life of me.

We really need to choose carpet for the upstairs of our new house, so we can finally sort the rooms out and stop living like we're at a festival- but they're so expensive I'm scared to make a decision!

I like berber, and and my parents have made me promise I'll get wool, so the Cormar Malabar stuff looks suitable- and at £15/sqm looks reasonably priced, too.

So, does anyone have this carpet, or have heard anything about it?

I got samples, but they were so small it was pretty difficult to draw any conclusions about the quality.

Please help!

  • Not sure about your carpet

The secret I have found is to get a good underlay and I have found think foam types to be best for feel wear and sound insulation

I stay away from man made fibres as I think it's a little like buy trousers.

    My preference is 80/20 wool/polyester with 40 - 50 ounce
