    Is this a question?
If so, the refusal itself will not affect your mortgage application. However the same factors that caused the refusal may affect.

Irrespective of your credit file you may not fit their profile - they refused to take me and there was nothing wrong with my file. Look upon it as a blessing in disguise!

If you'd go for their offset mortgage not being able to get the current account should block the application. The offset facility requires the presence of the current account. No current account, no way to take money out of the offset savings account, since it can only withdraw to that account, so they couldn't offer that offset savings account either.

However, opening in conjunction with a mortgage application may be accepted anyway.
