He doesn't have any sort of disciplinary procedure as far as I am aware, just a letter with the time and date of the meeting.
It's all very strange!!! To me it seems like they have just decided they don't want him for some reason and decided to get shot.

He should ask for the company policy as they certainly should have one.
If they are using a complaints procedure then they should follow it, but as has been said already they can get rid of him should they wish, owing to the length of service.0 -
A model procedure can be downloaded from the ACAS site. His company's disc procedure should be based on this.
