Eon Rewards
I received a letter from Eon on 6th December 2013 saying that the loyalty rewards scheme is coming to an end on 18 January 2014 but not to worry as on my next bill after 18th January I would receive the balance of the rewards up to the end of the tariff, which in my case is
10th October 2014. However on my bill dated today I did not receive any extra loyalty reward as expected. When I phoned customer service they had no knowledge of this letter or anything about the rewards being paid up to the end of the tariff. Has anybody also received a letter like this from eon

Eon Rewards is continuing after Jan 18th. Like all energy suppliers they have had to change their tariffs by order of the government to make things simpler. That's how it's supposed to be anyway.
Their rewards give 1500 points per year but you now have to sign up to the scheme rather than it being automatic and it only applies to their new tariffs including the Eon Energy Plan. The rewards come as Tesco clubcard points or high street shopping vouchers to the value of £15 a year.
To sign up go online to your Eon account (if you have one) and opt in on the rewards tab. If you don't have an online account then you can ring 0333 2024 606 to sign up.

Morning all
The way we pay rewards and discounts has changed for most of our customers. The actual changes, though, depend on the tariff and the way customers opted to receive rewards at the start of the contract.
With some of our older tariffs, the changes have been applied via lower standing charges and unit prices. Whilst with others, there's no change to current agreements. Also, some rewards are being paid up in full to the end of contracts.
Where customers are due a payment for rewards, this will be made on the next scheduled bill after 18 January 14.
For customers who opted to take rewards via Tesco Clubcard points instead of cash, we'll give them what they would've earned in one go. Again, this will be after 18 January 14.
The above is different to the E.ON Rewards scheme warhead mentions. As warhead says, this new arrangement only applies to tariffs released after 6 December 13.
If anyone has any concerns, just let me know the tariff in question and I can give more specific advice. Alternatively, drop an email to the address in my Profile with the details. I'll be happy to take a look.

I am on eon energy fixed 1 year v4 tariff. This ends on October 10, 2014. I received a bill yesterday (23 Jan) in which I received loyalty rewards up to Jan 18 but I did not receive the rewards up to the end of the tariff as promised in the letter from Eon on december 6 2013.0

Hi regor25
On the E.ON Fixed 1 Year (version 4) tariff, discounts previously paid as percentages will now be paid through a lower standing charge and unit rate.
Any loyalty reward that may apply, will be paid up in one go. If you've opted to take the loyalty reward as Tesco Clubcard points, we'll give you what you would've earned for the rest of your tariff. Again, this will be in one go.
Your latest bill has brought the account up to the changeover date of 18 January 2014. The next scheduled bill after this will give you the remaining loyalty reward up to the contract end date. This will be either as a payment or Tesco points depending on what you signed up for.
Hope this helps.

Hi Guys
Just a quick update on the Loyalty Rewards I was talking about earlier in this thread.
For customers on eligible tariffs, the Loyalty Reward was due to be paid in one go on bills after 18 January 14. I'm afraid, for some customers, this hasn't happened as planned.
To credit accounts with the reward, our systems needed to have a particular upgrade. We've discovered there was a technical problem when we came to do this.
As a result, some customers due the rewards and who've received bills after 18 January 14 haven't received the full credit. Instead, on these accounts, the Loyalty Reward has been paid up to 17 January 14 only.
Our IT guys have now fixed this. Consequently, the remaining balance of Loyalty Rewards will be credited to eligible accounts on the next scheduled bill after 14 February 14.
Really sorry about the delay.
Malc
