Bought a new wireless mouse and keyboard yesterday - Microsoft wireless 800 - put the receiver into my desktop usb port and the mouse worked fine but the keyboard wasn't working - so I thought. Figured it was just a faulty item so have exchanged today for the same item and the same thing - mouse works fine but not the keyboard.
When I start up I get an onscreen keyboard - not want I really want.
Any advices as to what I'm doing wrong?? (p.s am typing tis off my old keyboard that I want to replace.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance. Richard

is there a switch on the keyboard? suggest you look for it and turn it on. does it need batteries? have you put any in it?
sorry for stupid questions, just trying to eliminate the obvious first.Friendly greeting!0 -
Thanks Dan,
Yes batteries are on and light comes on few a few seconds showing full charge. Light then goes out but looking at a video on youtube think this is normal.
When I have a look in my devices it is showing the keyboard and saying it is working?0 -
