How to get my £206 back?
Zodo
In November 2013 I paid £206 to a company called Home Kandi online, for some furniture (https://www.homekandi.com). Now it's end of January and I don't have my goods, nor my money, and the company seems to have shut down (website closed, not answering phone or emails or FB messages). They cancelled the order last week and promised a refund but that hasn't happened.
I initially tried to make the payment on my credit card as I always do with large payments, in order to be covered (though I've never actually had a problem and had to reclaim money). The bank declined my card as a fraud-prevention measure (the funds were there), saying they were suspicious as a few large payments had gone out that day. So Home Kandi rang me up to tell me the payment was declined, and took payment from my debit card instead, over the phone. As it turns out, the bank's action in preventing fraud seems to have resulted in fraud against me, as I don't see how I can get the money back since it came out of my current account via debit card.
Does anyone have any advice please? I've written to my bank in case they can advise.
The company (Home Kandi) doesn't seem to be listed or have any accounts filed so I can't find their address or any history about them. Their phone number (01600 740 308) is a Monmouth number but that's all I know.

Thanks very much. I've requested my bank recoup the payment via chargeback. Here's hopin'.
Also, thanks for the address, which may well come in useful.
And for the Trustpilot link. I'll try trading standards if I don't get anywhere with my bank.0 -

They are using a "domain privacy" company so the address specified with the registrar is not theirs.

The above gives their contact details but the telephone number listed appears on a whole host of small business websites for many different trades. Their terms page gives the alternative telephone number of 01873 853006 which is also given as the number for a tv shop but with a different address
Googling shows the address listed to be residential and with a few other "Kandi" businesses being run from the address and one lists a mobile of 077725801370 -

Don't bother chasing the company, as you paid by debit card ask your bank to process a Chargeback on the grounds of non-delivery.0

I've been lucky enough to be able to do charge backs via my visa debit card on 2 occasions in the past few months. One company just never delivered & kept promising a refund, the other took my money & then a few days later went into administration.
So with luck, you'll hear something positive very soon from your bank. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
