Tesc Card - 0% Introductory Rate 18 Months

Options
Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help.

Looking to take out one of these cards, but just a question on the Introductory offer.

It is very appealing, with the free 18 months it gives us plenty of time to pay off what we envisage using it for.

Is the introductory offer a case of the very first time we use it that one purchase is on 0% and then everything thereafter is on the standard?

Or is it a case of a specific time frame, say 28-30 days and whatever is used within that timeframe then that is on the introductory offer and then thereafter it's standard.

Sorry I have tried to look on the site, but I can't seem to find the introductory details.

I believe Tesco is an oddity, in that the period is which you can make purchases is the same as the promo period - so 18 months for both.

Tesco cards are reportedly a fairly tough gig.

Oddity? I thought that was how all 0% purchase cards worked... hardly worthwhile otherwise?

No. Some offer 0% for say 18 months, but only on purchases made within a certain window - eg 3 months.

I've occasionally used them where I have a specific large purchase to make.
