Moving home how do i find the cheapest/best gas & electric supplier?

Hi, i did look at the stickie at the top but some of the links don't work and the other hasnt had a post since 2008.

My current supplier for gas & electric is British gas. In the house im moving into they have been using scottish power for the gas & electric.

How can i find the cheapest/best supplier for when i move, is there some kind of price comparison site etc?

There are dozens of price comp sites, look on the main board for suggestions. Energyhelpline, uswitch....
You'll be in a deeemed contract with SP, so you can't commence a switch until you register with them on day one and submit opening reads.
Then use your estimated annual kWh figures on the comp site. A switch will then take 4-5 weeks.
