Is it possible to have a laptop hooked up to a mobile dongle, and connect a tablet wirelessly to it, as I may go camping and my son will use a laptop, and I will use a Nexus.

Alternatively you could move your sim into a mi-fi device and thus cut your laptop out of the equasion0 -
