Anybody help me with these questions please. 1986 HFC loan , can I claim mis-sold insurance on this loan, I do not know if HFC still exist I have no paperwork or account number ?. Barclayloan taken out 2001 no paperwork and no account number mis-sold insurance ? . Lloydtsb credit card 2002 no paprework no account number mis-sold insurance ?. All accounts paid and finished with how do I start and where would I find the addresses, is t'hers a template letter I can use. Aany advice greatfully received. Thank you

Without any documentation or even details of these very very old loans, it's hard to see you getting anywhere with any complaint you might make.
1986 was 28 years ago!
Do you even know if you had any PPI?

I don't think you'll get very far with hfc (now part of hsbc group) without any evidence of a loan and ppi, but Lloyds and Barclaycard may still have some info on their systems about products you had with them. Firstly, check with their customer helplines and then send a SAR.0

Good news found lloyds tsb paperwork and barclaycard paperwork after a lot of searching. What on earth is a SAR ?0

Although HFC is now owned by HSBC, FOS jurisdiction will depend entirely on whether HFC subscribed to the Banking Ombudsman scheme in 1986. As that scheme only started in 1986 and I do not think HFC was a founder member, I think the answer is likely to be no.0
