Digital Video Broadcast - Terrestrial.
Which, in the UK, is called "Freeview" (ignoring the subscription service "TopUP TV").0 -
... Which in the UK is called DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television).
Freeview and TopUpTV are broadcast over DTT
Which is why some people get confused when they ask about pay channels on Freeview. Freeview is free and will remain free.
Seems people think DTT is Freeview or Freeview is DTT. Hence the mistake in the post above, many people make this mistake.
The UK does indeed use DVB-T as it's DTT service. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Check before you buy a TV set outside the UK, it may not be compatible with our system, even if it says DVB-T. Suggest you try to establish if it's a multistandard set.0
