Expired Groupon Voucher

I may be in the wrong section but if i am could someone point me in the right direction...
I let a Groupon voucher expire for a hotel break to near the value of 200stg.
When I contacted the hotel they indicated that as they date of booking had passed they couldn’t do anything and that my funds would still be with Groupon uk.
I contacted Groupon and their support team are less than helpful to say the least but are not interested in helping me on this issue.
Does anyone know if there is anything I can do with this matter???
I know it was my fault for not reading the fine print and letting the Voucher expire but my gripe is now that Groupon have now opted to pocket the funds instead of giving the opportunity to offset the value to anyone offer currently running with them. Will know to examine the small print in future!!

They don't owe you anything, you purchased a voucher for use by a certain date, you failed to use it in time.0

It's probably the hotel that set the expiry date not groupon, so they're passing the buck by telling you it's groupon's problem.
According to groupon's terms and conditions "1.4 What we don’t do: There are certain things that we don’t do. Please note that although we provide the Service and we also sell Vouchers, we do not assume responsibility for any contracts between you and any Merchant for the supply of the goods and/or services supplied by that Merchant related to your Voucher (please see the Voucher Terms of Sale for more information about this).
and
4.3 If your Voucher has expired:Please see Clause 3.9 of these Terms of Sale about limited periods of validity of any Voucher. Subject to the Groupon UK Promise (and to Clause 4.2 of this Agreement), if your Voucher has expired you are not entitled to redeem your Voucher in exchange for the Merchant Products/Services or Groupon Shop Goods, nor are you entitled to your money back or any refund.
So it's likely that this is the same as if you'd bought £200 of Argos vouchers then kept them past the expiry date. Your mistake, you lose out.
Groupon will give you credits if you've tried to redeem the voucher and not been able to through no fault of your own, but not if it's because you made a mistake. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Why would they offset the value of an expired coupon? Especially when it was your fault by not using it before the expiry date, thats the whole point of an expiry date, when it's gone it's gone.0
