Just wanted to share the news. With 21 months remaining my creditors on Monday accepted a variation to complete my IVA immediately with a full and final settlement.

Thanks to my family who offered some funding for a F & F it's all gone through.

What a relief. :j

    I had 21 months remaining at 300 quid a month so £6,300

    They accepted £3,000

    Final Dividend 17%

First time in my adult life I have no debt (except my mortgage)
  • Congratulations Ady and fingers crossed the CC is not that long in being sent out. Wishing you all the best for a debt-free future.

  • Congratulations! I'm in month 54 with the likelihood of another 12 months being added, no chance of settling early but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I can't wait until I can say the same as you that for the first time in my adult life I will be debt free ;)

    That's great. Congratulations.

Just out of interest. How long did the full and final process take? I've heard it can take 6 months from the initial offer to it being accepted but the creditors.

    Hi Louise

I initially approached my IVA people in October 2013 with my offer. I had to get a house valuation and details of outstanding secure loans etc and provide evidence my employer was making mass redundancies. The meeting was called for 21st January 2014 and accepted. My mum and uncle paid the three grand on the following Monday. The completion certificate was posted out to me 1st week in May

I checked my Noddle Credit report and it is now showing as IVA completed. So end to end 7 months
