Keep endownments or move to savings plan

I currently have a number of endownments which I was planning on keeping as come 2010 I will get 4 payments a year totalling around £7000. I am paying in around £400 per month at the moment. The question is would this money be better placed elsewhere as at present the endownments are only getting bonuses of around £5 per year. I have around 20 policies in total and the surrender value is around £12000. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea, but I would probably approach the problem by working out what I would expect to get if I put the £400 per month into a high interest savings account. That would at least give you a starting alternative to compare to.
