    I'm appalled, but not surprised. Unfortunately this is no longer a building society, but what I call a "micky mouse bank". I appreciate this is a time of stress and you don't need any more, but I'd be inclined to write a letter to their customer services - if that fails a letter to the Cheif Exec asking whether this clause was in place when the account was originally opened - I bet it wasn't.

    I have found out that if I wait for probate I wont have to pay. I wish I had been told that at the start.
