Vent!! Unique Fundraising

A couple of weeks ago in Morrisons there were people saying they were from the Samaritans pestering us to sign DD forms to support them. They clearly said several times they were from the Samaritans and did not receive any commission!
So I checked and they are from "Unique Fundraising" and they get paid commission by the Samaritans for each person who signs up! It would be interesting to know how much commission they get!
I have complained to Morrisons and thought I would spread the word.
So please tell everyone you can about these people and give DIRECTLY to the Samaritans or your chosen charity.

My gawd, people who work for a charity get paid!

That's just it - those people DON'T work for the charity. They work for a "chugger" company and get paid commission for getting people to donate to a designated charity. In other words, a portion of someone's donation goes to the "chugger" and not the charity.
The vent here was because the "chuggers" lied about it. (Is my take on things).0 -
I agree, they shouldn't say they don't get commission if they do.0

The charity will pay the agency a fee depending on how many sign up and how many are still giving in x months time.
They do this because it is a very effective (as in net income) way of getting donations.
If you feel the agency misled you, complain to the charity or the FRSB
