Spending nectar points on ebay?

I've just tried to spend nectar points on ebay for the first time and I'm not sure if I've done it right? I converted my points, and clicked the box that said "use ebay vouchers" at the checkout, but the confirmation email says that I've paid by paypal? Can ayone shed any light?

I thought that you can only earn Nectar points on eBay transactions. I didn't think that you can use them to pay - but I'm sure that somebody will correct me if I've got this wrong.

Yes, you have got it wrong.

Nectar points can now bar spent AND earned on eBay purchases.

I had huge problems with using nectar on ebay. It wouldn't work on several transactions and it only worked after a couple of weeks of trying. Myself and someone else had a discussion about it on here at the time. I will find the thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4841350

Although I did manage to spend the voucher eventually I won't be converting any more points.

I converted £50 worth of points at Christmas and had absolutely no problems whatsoever.

This was as part payment of an item for £53.99 so the balance was taken from my registered card as normal.

Transferred 1000 points for £5 ebay credit. Min payment before discount needs to be £10 and must pay by Paypal
