Obviously don`t want me
Hi does anyone use Ovo for their electricity. We are moving to a house with no gas, they have economy 7 with ovo. They don`t have storage heaters but do washing, dishwasher etc during cheap night rate. They have oil heating. I have emailed Ovo 3 times asking advice trying to find out if E7 would be suitable for us, we wont be washing etc at night and I am home 4 days out of 7. Perhaps just heat the water at night if its worth it. I said that we are quite happy to stay Ovo but please could you offer us advice or come up with a plan. I have still not received a reply in 3 weeks. I was told that they are a good company, but I am beginning to doubt this, surely I should expect some sort of reply.

It's got nothing to do with Ovo how you run your household?0

I know that but they could give me some advice on E7 and explain how it works.0

Phoned Ovo today to explain that when we move into our new house we don`t require Economy7 which the vendors were on. They said we would have to pay for a meter change. I explained that we would be happy to stay with them if they did not charge us for an exchange. If they did not agree to this I would switch to another supplier, he said switch. I find this strange that they are willing to lose my custom for £60. I will switch on principle now when we move in.0

Same thing happened with me and Ovo, I am with BG but was going to switch to Ovo, I used to be on E7 but changed to a single tariff, which is fine with BG, I still give the day and night readings but they just bill as one tariff. Explained this to Ovo, was told over the phone that would be fine then received an email reply to say no, I would need to change meters. I then read some less than complimentary comments about them, eg. increasing direct debits straight after switching, so in the end I was pleased I hadn't changed to them.0
