Depends where you live. if it happens to be in N. Ireland, then Garmin is the way to go0 -
One to avoid, in my experience is Navman. In fact I've just sold mine (at considerable financial loss) because I could NEVER get to exactly where I wanted. The supplied UK maps must be years out of date, a £6.99 current UK road atlas is far more reliable then ask a local!!
I've advised Navman about some of the errors but they're not interested.0 -
Pretty much a no brainer, Tomtom is the market leader for a reason.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

I've got a road Angel 6000 it also does the Speed Camera Locations & mobile Van Loctaions too so far so good but software can be a bit slow but as i've never used others i don't know if thats normal0

I would be greatful if someone can point me to a satnav that would be suitable? I have searched but as yet have not come up with a choice.
I have looked at the tomtom 910 but seems a little bulky? also window mount people say slips.
I want Europe Traffic info ( free if poss) speed camera, wide screen ,points of interest, and also somewhere to go when it all goes wrong eg a contact point.
I would like it to be as slim as possible.
Am I asking the impossible?
O and the cheaper the better.
Many thanksThe measure of love is love without measure0 -

Not impossible but not cheap either! The best for support is Garmin, the NUVI 660 £310. Also look at the MIO C520T and Navigon 7110. The new Tomtom 720 is out soon if you can wait.0 -
I had looked at the Nuvi 610t and upgrade to euro maps. What has the 660 got other than maps more than the 610?
The 610 is £239 at comet.
I am confused about the tomtom910 does it come with free traffic info or do you just get a 1 mth free subscrition?
The NUVI 660 has text-to-speech, it'll say street names, not just turn left, turn right etc.
Compare
The traffic subsciption on the TT910 is a taster for tomtom plus services , you will need a bluetooth mobile on a GPRS connection to use them. You can also buy the RDS TMC device like the garmin instead here0
