How to block emails on hotmail???

Hello.
I have blocked someone that I don't want to send messages to me on Hotmail but they still come through for some reason.
Anyone know how I can block someone and they are actually blocked and I do not receive any messages from them.
Thank you

Would be useful to know how you blocked them, did you just add them to the spam mail or did you actually go into blocked e-mail and domain? Not sure if you've already tried it but a good walk through at; http://www.wikihow.com/Block-a-Sender-by-Email-Address-in-Hotmail.

worth ckecking as well... if it is spam, then the email address that it is sent from will vary (even if it looks the same in your inbox)
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Yes I blocked e mail and domain but is still getting through. Not too sure how to stop it now
  • Instead of trying to use "Safe and blocked senders". try selecting
    "Rules for sorting new messages".
Then click on "NEW" to create a new rule.
You now need to try a few options to see which works best.
Under step 1, select either "Sender's address" or "Sender's name"
    then
select "is" or "contains" or one of the other options, and then in the 3rd field enter a string that corresponds to the sender's address/name.

In Step 2, decide what to do with any email that matches your criteria.

    When finished click on "SAVE".

    Hope that helps:j

one last thing to check is that you don't have the blocked e-mail sender in your contacts list, I think this over-rides any rules you have to block them?
