Help? We are renovating a property in the Lot.

We need somewhere for our English builder & team (3) more to live while initial work walls roof etc is going on. He suggested trying to get an older caravan/static or otherwise to put on site. We are unsure how we could find one in France or maybe he will have to take one over from England. Any ideas ?

You are buying a French, most likely delapidated property, and with loads of TLC you will soon have a nice little place to live in and spend many happy years. Well done. The locals will be pleased too to see their "patrimoine" being brought back to life. All these are positive.
On the negative side, you are bringing your own English builder and team.

a) This might cause you problems locally as your builder is not registered with the local Chamber of Commerce (sorry if he is).
b) The locals and other traders will not see this as a good neighbouring attitude and trust me, you will end up paying for it over time (the French "paysans" are very good at it)
c) Worse still, your builder might be bringing his own building material...again bad idea (you will be compared to the Dutch).
d) Language might be a problem, communicating with local suppliers and local authorities.

Please, you have had the good idea of buying and renovating an old property, have the decency to use local labour and tradesmen.
