Nothing iffy about it. I scanned a covering letter from my bank that just had my name and address on it and the bank's logo. Worked fine.

I would tell them to re-draw the prize as you feel the information they require for such a trivial prize is not worth it.

I had this once for a £1000 Ultrabook (on a different site) which was a pain but the prize made it worthwhile
    thanks to all posters

  • Hi, I thought I had received a smartphone for £5 and tried to reclaim it after paying and this GiftCable .com site asks for all your details as posted but does not allow the transaction to complete within the timescales for qualification. I am trying to get my money back but cant even make contact. Beware of them.
  • gift cable is an utter nightmare won an ipod jan 21st still haven't received it! have emailed them and quizonaut about 40 times in total this is my latest reply! Hi Sarah,

I just noticed that the country you live in might be subject to import taxes, as we are sending you the gift from another country than yours (placed outside the EU) and the gift represent a value that might be considered taxable by your local authorities.

You can read more about this by following this link: [LINK]

To solve this potential problem I have the option of sending you a electronic giftcard for Amazon of 20 EUR instead.

Please let me know if we should continue and send you the original gift, with the risk of it ending up in customs (we can unfortunately not cover the potential import tax imposed by your local authorities), or you would prefer the electronical giftcard to Amazon instead.

its a joke for a company that deals in distributing thousands of prizes as if im going to be impressed by a 20 euro (16 english pounds) gift card instead of an ipod !! think i also deserve the stressed out cd i also won from them no wonder its one of there prizes! lol
  • I won a mouse mat but as I have several at home I just deleted the email as didnt see the point claming! Sounds a bit much needing ID for a mouse mat. I still keep playing everyday in the hopes I get the £100 Amazon voucher but maybe iv used my luck up already :p

I won a mousemat the other day too.
But as they wanted me to upload a photo of my passport (or other photo ID) I deleted the email.
No way in the world is that a reasonable request.

I've just had an email to say I've won a Stressed out CD. I'm new to this too but I think I'll give this one a miss! X
