Just wanted to say thanks to cornishpasty1 for the post and Blue__Nile for the daily answers on Quizonaut here:

I've won a mousemat! Now I'm grateful for every little win I receive...but.....I wondered if anyone else had ever won on this?

The WEM asks you to complete your "postage details" and gives a link to a website called GiftCable (https://www.giftcable.com) which is a site that manages prizes, welcome gifts etc. I got as far as "To ensure your identity we need a copy of a photoid, like a student card, drivers license i.e. The picture and a name matching your name must be clearly visible.".........all seems a bit much just for a mousemat!! Has anyone else ever used this method to claim a prize ......or maybe more to the point - Would anyone else?

well, sounds like data harvesting to me and as my friend would say, I wouldn't touch it with the long end of a shi**y stick! I have sent ID for things like alcohol wins and holidays where age matters but absolutely would not TOUCH this for a mousemat. I believe Quizonaut is also a data harvesting possible?

    HTH, up to you x

I have won a few times and always received my prize. I just sent a copy of my polling card just so the address showed and that it was a polling card. It proved I was 18 and they were ok with it.

I wouldn't be too bothered if they accept a polling card which is really no more than giving them your name and address anyway.

    Congratulations

Long time ago last year I won two mouse mats (different winning days) & they never asked for anything like that just my home address so they could send me the mouse mats

They always ask for ID nothing iffy about it. I have won a few mousemats and 2 top prizes and have always received them fine.
Think it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol

  • I won a mouse mat last year - but I don't even have a PC, only a laptop so that was pointless! Wasn't going to take a pic of my passport or whatever just for that! for a bigger prize I would have though, but seemed too much for that so i ignored it. :)
Some best wins: £5,000 with hotels4u, 3D tv with ipad and sky for a year, another ipad, Hudl tablet, Sony z1 Xperia mobile, Spa break and £300 spa treatments, hotel chocolat hampers!
