Morning Everyone,
I have an awful crampy stomach this morning, but going to the loo doesn't help:(
Got the DWP coming today about Dad's affairs. I am transferring them to my DD. Apparently the woman who is coming was really rude to my DD on the phone yesterday, I'll throw her out if she starts today:rotfl:
Managed to do the ironing yesterday:T Two shirts, jumper, and two lots of bedding.
Islandmaid - Congratulations!
Hester - You have had a rotten time at that school, I know how it feels, it happened to me too. Don't give in though, even though it is hard.:A
Had a lamb stew last night that I made last week. I made two shepherds pies and a corned beef casserole as well. Not sure what tonight is going to be.
Hope you all have a good day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hi everyone,
A quick post from me, mum was taken into hospital last night so I was there till late. I had to tell the doctor how ill she was because she plays it down - to hear her think she is up for a country ramble instead of having to stop every three steps because she is so breathless. Her legs are the size of an elephants with fluid retention from her heart failure. The doctor looked a bit stunned when we told her that despite the heart failure and angina she hasn't got a cardiologist so I think I need to follow that up.
I was supposed to be going home today but that's on hold for a couple of days now. I have to meet a woman from the Council to go over mum's finances because they are putting in a shower for her. Why they can't just go to the Council Tax department, who have copies of the documentation they need I don't know.
Hester, sorry to hear this, someone ought to tell them you'd have a case for constructive dismissal if you did have to give up work.0 -
Morning:D
Another night of no sleep, Asher wouldn't settle then Noah up at dark thirty flapping, pacing and making repetitive noises...sigh.
Massive meltdown last night due to school issues and he's in the mood from hell this morning, kept shouting and punching himself in the face on the way to school:o. I've been in and spoken to teachers to make sure they know.
I'm finding it rather distressing
Today I'm batch cooking some Ragu sauce for tonight and a few for freezer.
I did meal plan yesterday so need to make shopping list and do online shop.
Miss milks to health visitor at 2 to be weighed etc.
Noah has haircut after school.... Another cause of stress but he has curly wild hair and looks like the love child of Harry Styles and Mrs Thatcher
islandmaid congrats on your lovely news
Hester don't give up! You have a good case there.... They sound as pathetic as my old NHS bosses! It suits you and your colleague so where is the problem? Idiots!0 -
Morning all,
seems like ages since ive posted in here but ive been so busy.
Firstly Islandmaid, great to hear you've booked the wedding. So happy for you.
Hester I caught up the news on your Daughter. I hope she is still ok. Sad to hear about work though.
My news. Well hubby has been offered another job. Its everything he wants/needs in a job but he's turned it down as he has priced himself out of the market. I think he would have took it but he knows he'd not spend much time at home so he upped the hourly rate to something not many employers would pay in this current climate. I think he's mad but there you go. His work is very lapse at the moment. One week here, one week there. One guy owes him £1000 in wages and hubby is scratting round here and there. Good job our household bills are so low.
Other news. I seem to have gained another daughter. 'Youngest has got a girlfriend and they appear to be spending all their courting time in his bedroom. She giggles a lot and I feel a bit of a gooseberry when he's in his bedroom and I'm in the next room on my pc.... I cant even play my music as they are watching telly (or whatever they are doing:o).
Daughter number 2 has bagged a load of baby clothes up to send to Daughter number 1 in South Africa for the Orphaned babies. Talking about daughter number 2. I'm having Grandbaby on the 8th and the 22nd of February overnight. She's still hoping i'll have him when she goes back to work but ive got issues about having him. Selfish reasons if I'm being honest.
News today. Someones nicked me rubbish sack out of the garden. Looks like having to lock the side gate at night.:(
Anyway, the washer has just beeped at me so I'd best go and shove another load in. Today is Wednesday, bedding day.:)

Good morning,
I have been in town, despite my bad knee. Didn't stay long but bought the lovely sausages and bacon that DH enjoys. M&S has not started their Manager's Reductions yet but they had some nice cotton nighties and PJs that must have been returned. So, two nighties for me and a pair of Per Una PJs for DD for the 'normal' cost of one. M&S used to have 100% cotton summer nightdresses but seems to be adding more and more poly. I can't sleep in anything that gives off static - ouch!
Weigh in this evening - almost excited, no idea why!
Islandmaid - :T
JulieGeorgiana & Hilstep - dodgy hugs :grouphug:
Judi - what a weird thing to steal - are they attempting identity theft or could it "just" be teenagers being *rses? We have to keep the back gate locked as a friend had a couple, umm, being extra friendly on her garden bench...!

Good job we shed all identifiable paperwork or I'd be panicking about ID theft. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Islandmaid - CONGRATULATIONS!!:beer::THard_Up_Hester wrote: »Evening all
My request for reduced hours has been refused, I'm not really surprised, my line manager is annoyed as a colleague wanted more hours & the 2 would have balanced out nicely, hey ho, I expect they think that a refusal will make me retire quicker, but it won't.NoahsPennilessMummy wrote: »Morning:D

TTFTM have you tried relaxation music, If I can't sleep it sometimes works just having the wireless on very softly in the background.
I use this when I am in hospital and it does work, so will give it a go at home. Thanks very much for the suggestion JackieO xLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi All
Late post from me and just a quick one.
Felt rough all day so not done anything. Woke up this morning with a blocked nose and when it cleared my ear drum popped and has been killing me all day. No better tomorrow and i am going to docs.
Anyhoo hugs to all in need xxBright Blessings xx0 -
Afternoon all,
Big hugs for the poorlies and tired people. I find that the radio sends me to sleep a treat.
Judi someone pinched one of our recycling bins a few weeks ago, weirdos.
NMP Hilstep, snoozer, and JG big hugs,
Islandmaid, busiscoming congratulations x
luxor I have a similar problem with knickers, it's getting harder to find 100% cotton
I ventured out to Mr T's today, it took all my energy and after five mins I was ready to come home, hubby said I told you it was too early
But I so want to get back to normal.
Tea tonight, fish pasta and salad and it's just the two of us.
Going to try and get back on my healthy eating, it's been difficult as I've felt written I've just been eating what I fancy.
Anyway onwards and upwards, have a good evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
