    If I take out my SIPP from the spreadsheet then BI still work out cheaper than CSD?How can that be?Am I missing some charges somewhere?

    Not looked carefully but likely to be your Royal Mail shares. Holding those with Charles Stanley involves a minimum £20pa custody charge which works out more than Best Invest's 0.4%pa custody charge.
