BARCLAYCARD - Preselected to apply via physical mail

Hi
I received an invitation to apply as "pre-selected" in the post a month ago, just 1 day after being rejected for an online application for a BARCLAYCARD BT 28 Months 0%. As it was just one day after it must have crossed my application just by chance. It includes an application form, or an "equivalent" link to follow online (barclaycardoffer.co.uk/Jan08).
That link just leads to a Barclaycard Initial application.
Is there any increased chance of being accepted for these "pre-selected" deals? Or is this just basically a flyer for a Barclaycard Initial application with no real connection to the chances of being approved at all?
I might as well go for Vanquis or Aqua or any other one to increase my chances, also considering the rejection for the other Barclaycard already.
I only have one bank account with Barclays and have only come to live in the UK a year ago.
Thanks

Pre-selected to receive a mailing means nothing.
'Guaranteed acceptance' however should mean just that, but potentially with a very high rate and very small limit if they don't like the look of you.
Given you've just been rejected from Bcard, I would have expected them to downsell you to the Initial if you were eligible.
I'd head off to aqua or Vanquis if I were you.0 -
I keep getting invitations to apply for a barclaycard. Each time I run their eligibility checker and get told to sod off (no credit search). What will your verse be?
