PPI Question re Lloyds
Comments

Hi,
Just wanted to provide an update on our claim back for the mis-sold PPI. We received a cheque this morning for the amount of the ppi loan + interest. The total amount we received today is £11, 541.91!
Now that is what I call a result.:j:T
I know a couple of people said we probably wouldn't get this result, based on what we said vs what they would challenge. However we were never contacted after sending in our claim form. I was a tad concerned about this tbh, and then also dreading getting a call or letter from them asking for more information. But there wasn't any need to be concerned at all.
Apparently there is a letter which we should of received already explaining the payment, but i guess that is still en route in the mail.
Nevertheless, we are very happy to have received the amount we got today.
First day off of the Easter break and might even have a little celebratory glass of vino tonight!
Sending good luck sprinkles to everyone else in their ppi claim journey!

Hi and well done Salem2008, I'm really pleased for you.
There are a few very negative posters on the PPI forum. I'm really glad they didn't put you off complaining regarding your PPI misselling. As I think they do their best to put people off, and unfortunately they succeed some of the time according to some of the posts I read.
All the best, Tangerina0 -

However, I think the advice about these irrelevant and non-valid aspects actually helped the OP to construct a robust complaint. This is evidenced by his eventual success.
Don't confuse "negative" advice with constructive criticism.0 -

The OP was not put off. He was given the issues. Some of which indicated that there were some strong complaint reasons and some reasons that were not strong. By knowing what is strong and what is weak, it allows the person to focus on the strong reasons to make their case and not the weak ones that rarely lead to success.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for the update!
Great news! Enjoy your success:T0 -
I received a similar letter from NatWest identifying up to five personal loans that I may have paid PPI on and inviting me to claim. I did so and within six weeks received notification that they were upholding my claim on four out of the five accounts and that I would receive almost $8.5k.
Kudos to NatWest, I wonder if their part public ownership had anything to do with this?0
