CCJ - Less than 14 days’ notice

Hello All,
My girlfriend received a CCJ N1 Claim form, but received little warning. It was for rent arrears (approx. £1063), but she has moved 3 times since then. So they have probably been sending the paperwork to the wrong address.
The first letter arrived around the 9th of Jan. It was a "final notice" letter, nothing had been received before. She called them up and they said she needed to pay that day over the phone or they would have to claim via a CCJ.
Unfortunately since then she has misplaced the letter!
This weekend (18th) we received the N1 Claim CCJ form. It was “future”stamped with 21st Jan.
Should I appeal the amount, as she wasn’t given 14 days to pay the original amount? Withthe court/solicitors fees it has grown to £1323.
Despiteme telling her phone calls are useless and everything needs to be in writing and as well as losing the first letter. Does she have any chance of paying the original amount only, despite the lack of evidence?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
J

How did the first letter make it to her if she has moved 3 times?
They only need to send the forms to the last known address, but I guess as rent they may try harder as they actually want paying.
No expert on court issues, but it would be worth giving national debtline a call. Maybe if she pays now she would pay the original amount.:beer:0 -
