CD disc eject not working on PC

Just been copying some music from my hard drive to a CD - usually when the process ends the CD automatically ejects, but when the copy was complete I got a message saying to the effect there was a problem and the burn did not work. The disc is still in the drawer but pressing the eject button doesn't eject the disc (or tray) - any ideas please.

You don't say what software you are using, roxio has done this to me a few times, i pressed eject on the roxio screen and it took some minutes but eventually spat it out 10 mins after the error message.
If there's nothing that will work and the disc is still spinning in the drive i think the only option would be to reboot.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0 -
Just a a quick check or two. Firstly go to my computer click on your d drive or whatever drive your cd comes right click it and click eject cd. If that fails close down your pc. Reboot and as you reboot press the eject button on your cd drive and it should eject as your pc reboots HTH"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0

I found if that ever happened for me putting a pin in the little hole near the eject button works. I got taught this at school so don't know whether its an official thing or my teacher liked to fluke things!!!!:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0
