First Utility Customer Service

I have been with them just over a year and that was too long.Awful customer service and even though I have submitted my readings when asked I have not had a bill since the middle of November. (i am on pay what you use monthly)
Have emailed 7 times and still no reply, cant get through on the phone.

I was persuaded by MSE's energy club to go with this complete shambles of a company to save a few quid...
The customer service is amongst the worst I have experienced in all my days.
It has taken from May 13 til January to set up a DD and its still not done, I often get charged an £8 admin fee for not paying by DD which I have to claim back by holding for over an hour usually, email is futile I only ever get the automated response and nothing else.
I've been on hold 30mins now and I'm 43 in the queue, even then nothing will get done.
I would say though that they are always very polite and pleasant on the phone when you do get through and the agents do sound as though they genuinely want to help....then nothing happens, I suspect it is the systems at First which are at fault and not the people.
I would suggest DO NOT switch to first utility... They maybe the cheapest but they are letting people down with really poor customer service which has to be a considered when selecting a service provider.
