As my credit history is "poor" I had a look on the Experian credit matches for the credit cards to pay off a couple of "little" debts etc
Has anyone has experience of the following cards that they are offering me?
Aquis Credit Card
Barclaycard Initial Credit Card
Capital One Classic
Argos Credit Card
Vanquis Visa
Any Help is appreciated
Thank You

As long as you've some Credit history already whether it be poor or not, I've found the Capital One Classic Extra a good credit builder card.0

The Aquis, Argos and Vanquis Visa credit card are all underwritten by the same company - Vanquis. Probably the easiest to get but not the most pleasant company to deal with.
For the CapOne you'll most likely need to be on the electoral roll, and the barclaycard is likely your hardest to get. In fact I've seen little evidence to suggest the barclaycard initial is much easier to get than their other regular cards.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -
I have Capital One, Aqua, and recently Barclay Card.
All thee have been great for me so far, Capital One has a great app on the iPhone for keeping track of spending, Aqua has fast increases in limit.
Ive just got my Barclaycard as i want to be with a main stream lender, ill be shutting my Aqua card soon, just because i only want two cards.0 -

Agreed, the Barclaycard Initial is much harder to get than the other "credit building" cards that it always seems to keep company with.
I'd go with CapOne or Aqua, I have both and are much better than Vanquis."Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

Capital One - £500 limit - March 2013
Aqua - £250 limit - July 2013 (raised to £750 January 2014)
Luma 4% cashback card - £1,500 limit - January 2014
These are the 'credit building' cards I've had in that order. Will be paying the first two in full on the 1st Feb and closing them. What will your verse be?
