Defaults showing after Bankruptcy?

I was declared Bankrupt in June 2010, I have several defaults showing in the months following Bancruptcy, even though they were included.

I had lots of accounts that were taken into consideration but none of them show on my credit file apart from those few, should they still be showing on my file or have they crept through due to them being sold onto debt collection agencies?

If the default dates are after your bankruptcy date then you can get those corrected.

  • Thanks Fermi,

I'm confused, I thought all my debts that were included in my br would either show or not? Most have disappeared apart from a couple, to the untrained eye (mine) it would seem that after br I obtained credit (illegal if over £500) and then defaulted??

The creditors concerned do seem to crop up time and again on the forum - max recovery and orange telecoms.

There are reasons why some might not show.

    - They may have been defaulted more than 6 years ago so have dropped off already.
    - They may be debt/account types or companies that don't report to the CRAs.
    - They may not report to the CRAs you have checked.
    - They may have been defaulted or registered at an address that hasn't linked in properly to you latest credit report.

As said, with the couple that are there you need to complain and get the default date corrected.
