Quite. Those managing your expectations appear to have underestimated the likely timescales. If you had no expectations, you did after the parties you mention created them by giving you over-optimistic estimates.

Have you any idea when the plan to purchase the garage freehold actually started, as I'd say three to four months from then would be the minimum, possibly longer, before the associated transactions would then be able to re-start?
