Childrens Unit Trust

Hello,
Can anyone offer any advice or experience of a Children's Unit Trust ?
I've decided i'd like to open a Children's Unit trust rather than a Junior ISA on the basis I can retain ownership and withdraw funds (in an emergency) up until 18.
Thanks

Is this the type of thing you require?
You would hold the fund in a "designated" rather than bare trust
arrangement - for explanation of the difference see here

Thanks, yes it is a designated account I would like to open.
Do the SIT come recommended ?0 -
Are you using your full ISA allowance every year? If not, you could use that for the savings for your child and just keep a record yourself as to how much in your ISA pot 'belongs' to your child. This has the advantage that you can retain control of the money beyond 18 if you think they aren't yet ready to have a lump sum. Some children take a little longer to grow up than others do0
