Hi, I have just completed an assignment on my macbook which must be 5 pages long.
I have exported it into word. When I preview upload on my university site, it increases the amount of text by 12 lines therefore making it 6 pages.
I have checked it over and there are no apparent spaces.
Can anyone please help. Thanks

What software did you use to create the document?
What version of Doc are you export it to?
What version of Word are you reviewing it on in Windows?
Should be fairly easy to spot the problem if you can check the two side by side0 -
Hi, I created the document in pages.
I'm exporting it to word 97 - 2004
I'm reviewing it on microsoft word 2007.

Check your line spacing, (Before and after as well as the line spacing) (In paragraph settings), check your margins. Anyone of these settings could easily make the difference.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

I have checked the margins/spaces and they are the same.
Each line ends on the same word on both sets of documents
but each page has a few less lines on the word document therefore making it go over to 6 pages.

Are you sure that the page sizes are the same?

Page size or top/bottom margins seem the culprits if each lines the same and the spacing the same.0

Thanks for your replies - I have converted it to PDF and it has come out the same as 'pages' so I have submitted it as the deadline is this afternoon

It was a bit of a panic and I'm still not sure what was going on but the PDF files are fine.
