Just remember that short-term apartment rentals are illegal in Manhattan

I know, I personally would do it again though - just an option :)

As I suspect you well know, most short term apartment rentals violate various laws and building rules in all 5 boroughs.

The post I was responding to specifically referred to Manhattan
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

since she has big plan in New york city then what do you think is it not expensive.
    Really? Have to?
There are lots of free/cheap things to do in NYC
As I know all things are not cheap as she mentioned.
Have you read any of the previous replies?
There's been alot of good advice, hints and tips given, demonstrating that this is not necessarily true.
Yes, I've read and I agree with some but not with all.

Just read an article saying the police have been told to get stricter with jaywalkers - £150 fine... That's something you wouldn't want added to expenses...

I hope councils over here don't start getting ideas. They could see it as a big source of income. However, it would be fun to see the police here try to enforce it.

Boston is much more civilised than New York. There jaywlking is almost seen as a constitutional duty.
