Can I get some of these removed?

I applied for a Santander Current Account. I checked my Experian report and see that Santander performed NINE credit checks on me all on the same day, all for the Current Account. I definitely only applied for the account ONCE.
It's making my credit report look mental.
Is there anything I can do to get these removed?

Were you successful in procuring the current account? Also did you apply for a CC simultaneously? When applying for the 123 account you'd be asked if you want to apply for the 123 CC as well.0 -

Are they all defiantly credit searches as some might be fraud like money laundering and identity checks."You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"0 -
Only credit-application searches are seen by other lenders and can affect credit ratings. If you want us to have a look for you, and contact the bank on your behalf if multiple searches have been registered inappropriately, please send us details.
