Morgan Stanley - Anyone Dealt With?

I applied for a six month Morgan Stanley Card 0% deal online.

Received documents today but no details of credit limit but I did put a £3300 balance transfer on application......will they honour this or are they just like Citi Finance or Capital One where they give you what they like?

    Hi Omar,

I recently got a Morgan Stanley platinum credit card that I applied for online. When I got my credit agreement through the post, it stated the credit limit they had given me. The actual figure was in bold, but tiny print.

Morgan Stanley's customer service centre have always been very good whenever I've called them. I would recommend you give them a call on freephone 0800 02 88 990. An advisor will be able to advise you of your credit limit.

Regarding your balance transfer query: I requested my balance transfer over the phone, after I'd returned the credit agreement form, but before I'd received the card. It went through without a hitch.

The credit limit you receive will depend on a number of factors, so I can't really advise on whether they will honour your £3300 BT. It is best to check with them on that. Go on you've got nothing to lose by asking them.
    Please call me 'Kazza'.

I am using them as my main spending card for the 2% cashback not stoozing. They have been really good so far. The credit limit they give me was about £5400 which is about half what Cap One and Virgin gave me but I will ask for an increase in a couple of months.

I received a Morgan Stanley CC a few weeks ago, limit was £2,500, but then
my income is small. Husband asked for £10k, but they would only give him £5,500, but then he does have other cards too. They simply did the balance transfer for a smaller amount than the one he had requested on line.
Everything seemed to come through quickly and without a problem.
  • I've got a platinum card with them, I didn't transfer a balance or anything but they gave me a 5800 credit limit.

The only thing so far that has got on my nerves with them is the hard sell I've had on the phone for insurances and protection packages for the card.
