Hi,

I just made an application online for PO Credit Card. At the end of the application it said:-

Thank you for choosing Post Office Credit Card.
What to expect next:
tick.gif You'll receive your card in the next 7 working days.
tick.gif Your PIN will be sent out seperately.
tick.gif You'll receive your online User ID and 6 Digit Security Number which you'll require for online and telephone services.
If you have any questions about your application you can call our Customer Service Team.

Is that accepted? It's abit strange because normally it says" Please to say application has been approved or similar wording" but it just came with the above wording.

I used to have a PO card ages ago and can't remember what I saw at the end when I applied. I would say you've been accepted as they've said your card will be with you in x amount if days etc.

I would only assume its accepted when a card or PIN arrives.

Until then just keep your fingers crossed. Check phone/emails and spam folder often in case they try to contact you.

Hi starM, I've just applied too as I'm going to the states for a week soon and didn't fancy paying 2.99% fee for each transaction I make with my Amex card if I were to use that. After submitting the application I got a page that asked me to sign the agreement electronically, which I did, however before I submitted that I scrolled back up to the top of the page and there was a small and not very obvious "congratulations" so I assume its been approved?

Rosco32, My guess will be that you have been approved, as it said "congratulation". I missed to see that on my application. Will wait and see hopefully something should arrive by end of the week. MS

I called them today. Apparently they have been in undated with applications. Apparently my application was in a queue waiting for the underwriters to review. They did the credit search yesterday as I can see this when I log into credit expert so it must of been done when I applied and I saw the congratulations at the top of the contractual information etc. Will wait and see.

Ive been approved, that's all I know. Not sure what the limit is but I only wanted the card for when I go to the US as it doesn't charge any fees on purchases and then it'll be paid off and the account closed.

Did you get accepted starM? My card turned up today but they have only offered me the classic card and not the platinum card. Only difference is the APR which doesn't bother me as i'll be paying off in full and closing the account after I come back from my trip to the US. Got a healthy £5600 limit too!!

I rang them yesterday and they said application has been approved. Possibly something will come today. Will report if I get something through. Did u go through TCB they were offering £47 for new application? I went through cashback tracked on Wednesday. MS
