Euro parks £70 ticket but not the registered keeper

I own the number plate on our car but my husband is the registered keeper of the car via DVLA. I recieved a letter from a private car parking company Euro park advising I overstayed the required 2hrs at a shopping retail car park and the letter states that as I am the registered keeper of the vehicle I have to pay the £70 charge or £40 if paid within 14 days.
But I am not the registered keeper of the car, I was not driving the car and the letter has been incorrectly sent to me as again I am not the registered keeper I only own the number plate, what should i do.
I live in Scotland.
Where do I stand in regards to only owning the plate.
Do I bring this to their attention or do I not respond?

    I live in Scotland.
Search the forum for keyword 'Scotland' and read endless threads telling you that you must ignore it all. There is no 'Euro Parks' (you mean ECP). Nothing to stop you complaining to the Centre Manager and/or Store Managers where you spent money of course - they cancel these annoying fake PCNs all the time.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am confused by this, whose name is showing on the V5 and does the V5 show that registration. Have you transferred the registration to the vehicle recently ?

Was the "offence" committed in Scotland or elsewhere ?

You have posted this twice and I have replied already to tell you to search for 'Scotland' on this forum and to complain to the Store Managers.

My husband is the registered keeper on the V5 document for the car but I am the owner of the private number plate - this is where the confusion lies - I would have assumed if they contacted DVLA to find out the registered keepers details then why did they not give euro park my husbands name.

    This is very interesting.

Exactly how does one own a number plate and then put it on a vehicle that someone else is the registered keeper of?

How does one 'own' a number plate - I always think of it being the right to display it - and the DVLA (or DVLNI) are the actual owners

I can understand there being a legal owner of a vehicle being different from the keeper - but does this mean we can have one person own the vehicle, another 'own' the number plate, and yet another be the registered keeper, and perhaps yet another person being the driver?

I don't know what to advice in this case.
