UK Passport valid for 9.5 years only

You can renew a passport up to nine months before the current one runs out. Any remaining full months will be transferred to the new passport. so in theory should be possible for it to run for 10 yrs 9 months0

If you're going to the USA read this:

It basically says your passport is valid for travel 'for six month's past the expiration date'!!!0
