Received letter from Lloyd's in November staying PPi may have been missold
Filled in relevant paperwork , had 2 phonecalls asking me to go over things I couldn't remember
In total there were 7 loans totalling 17000
8 week ' guideline/deadline ' is today and still no conclusion ... Does it make a difference that the loans were applied for over the internet ?

Yes. You get less consumer protection that way as it was non-advised and no-one was involved to sell you anything.
Typically internet products only succeed on complaint if there was a failure on the wording used on the site and/or the box was pre-ticked or you had to select to not have it.
There is no requirement for the bank to check suitability or eligibility when you DIY.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Yeah, if they were bought over the Internet then generally speaking unless there was a pre ticked PPI box or the T&CS were misleading its likely to be misbought rather than Mis sold. That said, if you had a chain of single premium loans you've got a good chance of partial redress (though not full).
What grounds for complaint did you give?0 -
Well here is the part which makes me look stupid
At the time I was in an abusive relationship with a compulsive gambler
He logged on , applied for loans and made me sign any paperwork that came through the post
I feel stupid as some loans were taken back to back - some 2 within a month
Hence why I really don't know much about them or the application process0
