NPE PPC fine, address change help!

I was out with my husband and toddler on Saturday looking for furniture at a local charity shop for our new house. We came back to the car and discovered a fine from NPE of £100 for not parking wholly with in the bay! Shocked and angry as the front tyre was on the white line.

Thanks to the amazing info on here I have found out how to deal with the situation once the notification letter arrives. The problem is, we've only just moved to my new house (in the last week) so my car is still registered at my old address. I only sent the DVLA registered keepers form two days prior to the ticket.

Knowing the DVLA it will take a while to change address and NPE are probably already in the process of getting my details from them, so; do I ask the new owners to kindly keep any post for the next 28 days and then give NPE my new address details when I receive the notification?

We've changed addresses for everything else so there really shouldn't be any other post going to the house. Not sure how to go about this as I don't want to directly give them my new address.

By the way the charity shop told me that people constantly get tickets there and that it's nothing to do with them. Nice.

Any help will be gratefully received!

Yep but they are very likely to keep writing to that old address - these scumbags do - so you should put in place a PO redirection anyway (I would always do that when moving house).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thank you so much for your reply, that's what I will do. So angry about this. Why are people out to get each other? Makes me very sad.
  • The parasites being children of Thatchers' Britain perhaps, but it probably was ever thus.
