Hello, just moved into a small 1st floor flat where the rooms (lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) all have wood or laminate flooring. The stairs and landing are medium-pile carpet.
We have v little storage space and are looking for a cheap, small vacuum that will get into the corners of the carpeted stairs, but also be good for the hard surfaces.
Dyson have some very nifty, sleek machines that would be just the job, but we don't have that sort of money.

Henry.
Cheap, efficient, long hose, long cord, bomb proof, and all with a cheeky smile.0 -
If you can make a niche for him, then store other things on top (broom, telescoping feather duster etc)
+1 for Henry!
If you worry about water incoming, vax, but otherwise, Henry!0 -
Another vote for the Henry, great little machine.0

I have a small Miele cat & dog cylinder. Would highly recommend.0

Recon Dyson DC7, about £90. However you must get the clutched version, not clutchless, for laminate floors. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

thanks all - Henry would def. be too big to fit in our little cupboard.
The smallest Miele models might be ok though.0 -
Henry - who wouldn't want a vacuum with a smile?0
