Buying flight tickets with AmEx Cashback card - still entitled to Cashback?

Options
Hi,

As the title suggests I got my Amex Platinum Cashback Card on Friday. Last night I purchased some plane tickets with Virgin. I can see the pending transaction on my Amex account but the category is showing as travel rather than a general purchase. Will I still get the cashback? Wish they've given me a bigger limit, its nearly maxed out already!
Thanks

Any purchase counts towards cash back, so yes. The only things that don't count are cash like transactions, cash withdrawals and purchasing foreign currency (Cash or travellers cheques)
