Global e-rental !**!

I signed up for 4 week free trial with global e rental.
So far the service has been cack to say the least. First dvd to arrive wouldn't play the second still hasn't arrived. Another 2 discs that have arrived have been faulty stick and jump and goodness knows what all.
I am still waiting for the lost disc which is at the top of my list to be delivered. So far haven't really had the ones I really would like to rent or if I do they are unwatchable. Kids selection not too great either!
I have had screen select who I must say were excellent really quick turnaround and great discs.
Blockbuster was really slow and never got the discs at the top of my list.
Any other suggestions as to who might be better. I would like to try before I commit myself.

I've just finished my 30 day free trial with Global e-Rental and just cancelled.
I got DVDs from the top of my list but about half of them I had were damaged somewhere on the disc, which spoilt the film.

One did go missing in the post but, to be fair I emailed them & they replaced it next day.

I'm currently with LOVEFiLM - finished 1 month free trial, cancelled and now taken up 'Buy 1 month, get 2 free'.

If you haven't tried LOVEFiLM you may still be able to get a free month here

Right after I posted here I cancelled my subscription to global and took one out with Lovefilm.
I had 2 disc in the post from Global at the time of cancelling and youv'e guessed it they were both faulty. In total from Global I actually had 2 discs that worked.
I received my first discs from Lovefilm 2 days after setting up my queue although not from the top they were fairly high up and whats more they actually work !!!!

When I took the trial with LOVEFiLM...

- part way through the trial they offered me the next month for half-price.
- when I cancelled after that they sent me an email offering pay for one month, get 2 months free.

So at the moment, I'm getting films 'til the end of July for £13.95.

You can also freeze your membership and pay nothing for up to 3 months.

If I ever start paying for DVD rental(!), I think it'll be with them

PS - Global eRental take payments via WorldPay. It may be worth cancelling your DD direct with WorldPay, just incase the buggers try to keep charging you.
