Perfect payment history but score is only 2/5 on Noddle?!

Hello,

This is my first post so I don't really know what I'm doing but I hope someone is able to give a better understanding of my issue!

I've just signed up to Noddle to check my credit rating. It's given me a rating of 2/5 in the colour green (not sure if that means anything) I've checked all my history and everything is as it should be, I've not missed any payments, no late payments, literally a perfect payment history but my score seems so low!

I've checked and I'm on the electoral reg so it's not that and everything is accurate!

Could it be my age? (I'm only 20) if so how can I improve this rating? Am I able to improve it if I am only young?!

Thank you! :)

i would say its indirectly due to your age. As you are young, you won't have much history, and as you also say you only have a phone bill and loan, this seems to be the case
  • I thought it might be- But that seems so unfair! Anyone know how I can get it up?

Get a credit card and pay it off in full every month. Best bet for this if you have a good history is usually the bak you have your current account.

However, it's worth noting that the credit "score" (e.g. the 2/5 from Noddle) isn't actually worth anything as all banks will score you from their own formula based on the details in your report.

If everything else is showing all good, then ignore the "score" and get on with your life ;).

Recent credit card or loan applications (<6 months) also impact it - they'll temporarily lower your 'score'.
