PPI on pension contributions

Hi there

I believe I was missold payment protection insurance on my pension contributions, with the salesperson emphasising the consequences for my pension if I were ever made redundant.

I can't find anything about reclaiming payment protection insurance on pension contributions.

Is it likely that I can pursue a claim for this?

Pensions have never had PPI attached them.

That is because it doesnt exist.

The only bolt ons that existed for pensions were pension term assurance (a life assurance which gained tax relief on contributions) and waiver of premium which would pay your pension premiums until maturity if you feel ill and were unable to work. Waiver has no overlap with PPI and is underwritten at point of sale on full medical details. It doesnt fall under the same regulator rulebook at PPI.

No insurance for redundancy has ever been available as a bolt on for pensions.

Is it likely that I can pursue a claim for this?
