    Evening!

Didn't have time to post earlier, been busy at work today, got a new manager so been teaching him things most of the day (which is a bit weird!)

    My list for today:
    - checked bank - all matched up to app
    - took lunch from home, didn't end up eating it as everyone was going out for lunch, I wasn't planning on going but when I mentioned it to the bf he transferred me the money so I could go! :)
    - also took in lunch for rest of week (total cost of lunches for the week is £2.50
    - tried to stay away from the corner shop but failed! 80p spent on a drink :(

    - got bus to station to save £1, worked out ill have to get the bus everyday in order to not have to top up until payday!!
    - bought my nans husband a bday present from my mum (she gave me the money for this)

    Still need to:
    - get a bday card for Nan's husband
    - continue sorting through paperwork at home
    - dinner from home tonight- haven't done a meal plan yet so not sure what to have..
    - do a meal plan!!
    - have an early night- want to be in work for 8:30 tomorrow(have to get up at 5:30) :(
    - update on the WSC thread

That's all for me, bus is nearly at the station so I'm ready for my train nap now!!!! :D
  • Well its another lovely Monday and two days in a row without rain! :D

To celebrate today I have or will:

    1. Come here to keep my motivation high.
    2. Walked the pooch through the forest.
    3. Made all food for today.
    4. Practiced eating mindfully.
    5. Organised my budget and accounts to make sure they are all on track.
    6. Written down my yearly goals.
    7. Practiced guitar.
    8. Got my laptop more organised.
    9. Made sure my application for help with energy bills is in.
    10. Made an appointment for my dog with the vets and am going to make sure his insurance papers are ready to be sent off.
    11. Make sure Mr MNM licence application goes off tomorrow.
    12. Organised car insurance.

I think that's about it, happy Moanday (sorry, couldn't help my self) all.
Debt as of March 2018, £794 rent arrears £4273.7 debt, £900.70 in pay day loans, total £5968.40 . Total debt today £5968.40

  • Hi, I stumbled across the small DFW thread at the weekend and you all totally inspired me. I was having a particularly lazy Saturday afternoon, trying to get warm (heating on all day) and had decided that I couldn't be bothered to cook tea. This would mean spending about £15 which I didn't have, when I had perfectly good gammon steaks in the fridge.

I was in the 'I don't have any money, so what difference would £15 make?' mood when I started reading what you were all doing towards your DFW. I had a mini lightbulb moment - all the little things added up to quite a lot.

So, I cooked the gammon for dinner (which was very nice and didn't come with the guilt factor) and made a list of some of the small DFW things I could achieve.

I know this thread is about today, but I hope you don't mind if I include the things I've achieved since Saturday - I feel I should share these with you, as after all, without your inspiration, I wouldn't have done any of it:

Listed 15 items on Ebay, taking advantage of the free listing weekend I found out about on here
Heating on for only 2 hours per day (yesterday and today)
Made soup with leftover veg to use for my lunches - should last 3/4 days
Dried washing on radiators instead of dryer
Used leftover roast chicken for DH and DD's lunch
    Joined MSE forum
    Started sealed pot challenge
Started tracking daily spending using a spending app

Feeling like I'm getting back my control, I had slipped back into some bad spending habits and I know where that will lead me...

    Good Morning
    Look for "Lurpak codes" -

ziggy, what's this if you don't mind me asking, love love love lurpak, quite expensive now at £3.20 for regular size container :(

    Hi Setting In

Me and DS love Lurpak too and I tend to buy it when its on offer at Morrisons (2 for £5) - the codes are inside on the label and can be saved towards products (apron, whisk, magazines etc) or used for comps, I need another 40 points to get a 6 month mag subscription but have quite a bit or lurpak in stock, lol, so wondered if anyone was giving any codes away, lol, ;)
