Hello all. I was looking for a credit card that I can transfer money to my current account with 0 percent interest.

Do these exist?

  • Hi guys,

I hope your not going to mind me jumping in to ask a question tedglen, but my questions are related to money xfer credit cards, so no point in starting another topic.

    1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been looking at the MBNA credit card, and it only gives you that 0% if you do the money xfer within 60 days...have I got that right?

    2. Lets say I got the MBNA card and did a money xfer of £5000 to my current a/c, how much would I have to pay per month and am I allowed to pay off a lumpsum or even the whole balance?

    1. Yes, it's a short-time offer, not a permanent feature.
    2. terms and conditions. - see "Minimum repaiment", althoug reprtedly it's good for your credit history to pay a little more. No problems with a lump sum and paying off early, but doing either makes no sense until 0% period ends.

  • Thank you very much Grumbler.

Apologies, but my question regarding the £5k xfer was how do i calculate it, so that I know how much I would have to pay? Could you please give me a breakdown if possible?

Also I plan to pay within 6-8mths, so which is the best/cheapest card for money xfers?

    Thanks
PS: Your T&C link doesn't work.

The minimum payment will be printed on your statement. The method of calculation will be specified in the T&Cs.

The best is the one with the lowest BT fee:
